Stop.

Self-confidence is essentially an attitude which allows us to have a positive and realistic perception of ourselves and our abilities. Confidence is learned, it is not inherited. If you lack confidence, it probably means that, as a child, you were criticised, undermined, or suffered an inexplicable tragic loss, for which you either blamed yourself or were blamed by others. A lack of confidence isn't necessarily permanent but it can be if it isn't addressed. Esteem is a perception of your worth, your own value of yourself dictates how others perceive you too.

When you have little or no confident in yourself, you tend to be pessimistic and are constantly reassuring yourself in your self-doings. How you protray yourself on the outside, the words you use and the things you would say shows the level of your confidence.
You would do things to build up your confidence, but are you doing it right?

Sometimes, you would make assumptions that are false in order to make yourself believe in you, believing that there are people who admire and follow you. However, there is seemingly contradictory evidence that you are also one follower who admire another who is better than you, following their footsteps and actions. You need to stop living in denial and start believing.

Now, what is your perception of your own worth and value?
